FAQs

What style of music do you play?

We are a sixties tribute band playing a selection of music from that decade from a variety of artists, genres and tempos. It is all “live” in that we do not use backing tracks or sequencers, and we make every effort to bring that music to you with the authentic style, close as possible to the original production and with the warmth and clarity that our sound system delivers.

How much does the band charge?
We will be delighted to give you a quotation based on times, distance and where appropriate, overnight accommodation for longer distances.  We normally ask for a 10% deposit. This gives you confidence that Old Dogz New Trix are committed to play at your event.

How long do you play for?
We typically play for two one-hour sets. As no two events are the same we are happy to adapt our play times to suit you whenever possible.

How much room do you need?
Our ideal stage requirement is 5.0 metres wide by 2.5 metres deep.

Do you provide your own PA and lighting?
Yes. We provide our own stage lighting system and a PA at no extra charge where needed.

What power supply do you need?
We need a minimum of two double 13A sockets in the stage area.

How long does it take for the band to set up?
It takes 90 - 120 minutes from the time we arrive to be fully set up and sound checked.

Are you insured?
We have public liability insurance and our electrical equipment is tested for electrical safety (PAT tested).

How many are there of you?
For most events there are eight of us - five band members, plus three others. On some rare events there could be ten altogether

Do you need changing facilities?
We appreciate somewhere that is private to change and preferably secure for belongings during performance.

Can you do outdoor or marquee bookings?
Yes. We are happy to do outdoor or marquee events, but the stage area must be level, sheltered and protected from all ingress of rain on the stage deck, or areas where any equipment has to be placed  to protect the instruments, electrical equipment and power supplies. In these cases, power supply MUST have RCD protection and of a suitable specification for such environments. For safety reasons, such bookings will require appropriate specifications agreed with our technician in writing before confirming.

Can I request songs?
Yes. We are always keen to learn new numbers, so if you have a particular song you would like that is not on the playlist we will do our best to rehearse it for your event - please agree this with us at least four weeks in advance.
